Editorial conclusion

E083 did not include a controlled field test. The public page is therefore a job-based category guide with manufacturer specifications, not a winner review.

Mixed-use glasses duration cannot be compared directly with continuous action-camera recording. Resolution does not establish sensor quality, dynamic range, stabilization quality, heat behavior, or usable output.

Job model

Glasses prioritize availability, first-person perspective, low-friction start, open-ear audio, and connected assistance.

Action cameras prioritize placement, chosen framing, rugged capture, swappable power, higher capture modes, and post-production control.

Privacy boundary

Meta says its glasses use a capture LED and that second-generation products disable the camera when the system detects the light is blocked. Meta privacy FAQ

The current FAQ postdates E083. It can support a current guide but must not be assigned retroactively to every event-era device state.

Test protocol for a future update

A controlled comparison should use the same date, route, light, weather, activity, output target, and editing rules. It should measure start friction, usable moments, framing misses, stabilization, audio, battery, transfer time, selection time, social comfort, and final output.
