Apple Intelligence is not one feature and does not have one universal compatibility answer. Current system boundary

Apple's How to get Apple Intelligence page is the primary current eligibility and feature source used here. Apple says the supported hardware families include iPhone 15 Pro models and iPhone 16 models or later, iPad mini with A17 Pro and iPads with M1 or later, Macs with Apple silicon, Apple Vision Pro, and certain Apple Watch experiences when paired with a nearby compatible iPhone.

Apple lists base software requirements beginning with iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, macOS Sequoia 15.1, visionOS 2.4, or watchOS 11 where applicable. It also states an on-device storage requirement of 7 GB, excluding Apple Watch. Device language and Siri language must match and be supported.

Those statements are system-level gates, not a promise that every feature works on every eligible device. A current answer should name the feature before naming the requirement.

What the feature families currently include

Apple's July 2026 support record spans Writing Tools, Clean Up, Genmoji, Image Playground, Image Wand, Smart Reply, summaries, notification and Focus features, Mail prioritization, Photos search and memory creation, Shortcuts actions and models, visual intelligence, Live Translation, Wallet order tracking, and supported Apple Watch experiences.

The list can hide meaningful differences. Apple's Writing Tools support page describes proofreading, rewriting, summarizing, organizing, and ChatGPT-assisted composition on compatible systems. Apple processing and external-provider processing are different paths
