Indicator boundary

An external capture indicator is one control. Its size, placement, visibility, meaning, failure behavior, and social recognition affect usefulness.

An indicator does not create consent or make every recording appropriate.

AI boundary

Visual and audio assistants add inference and output risk. Record what is sent, which model or provider is involved, whether people or places can be inferred, how uncertainty is communicated, and what happens after an incorrect answer.

Legal boundary

Privacy and recording law varies by jurisdiction and context. FTC guidance and company policies support review but do not provide a universal legal answer.

Qualified privacy, security, accessibility, safety, labor, and legal review may be required before organizational use.
