Viewpoint contribution
E010 adds a demonstration rule to the Venture Step viewpoint. A selected demo can show that a capability exists under some conditions. Readiness requires evidence across time, environments, failure modes, users, maintenance states, and accountable operating controls.
It also connects technical evaluation to human agency. Assistive technology should be developed and evaluated with the people expected to use it. Independence, consent, privacy, support, refusal, and alternatives are product requirements, not decorative ethics language.
Reuse boundaries
Never describe an investigational device exemption as product approval. Do not generalize a sponsor-reported participant experience into clinical benefit. Do not infer current robot capabilities, prices, safety, accessibility, or labor effects from a 2024 presentation.
