Release record
Google announced Veo 3 on May 20, 2025. Its first-party launch record said the model added native audio, including environmental sound, dialogue, and music, and claimed improvements in prompt response, physics, realism, and lip synchronization.

The same-day Flow announcement described early Veo 3 access through Google AI Ultra in the United States and positioned Flow as an application combining Veo, Imagen, and Gemini.

Google's June 25, 2025 Flow guide is useful because it records release-era limits. Audio was still described as experimental. Several continuity and extension features worked only with Veo 2 at that point, with Veo 3 support still planned. The episode's broad workflow impression should therefore not become a claim that Veo 3 initially unified every production task.

Later record
Google announced Veo 3.1 and related Flow changes on October 15, 2025. The later release added or expanded audio across features, narrative control, image-to-video quality, ingredients, frame control, extension, insertion, and planned removal.

The current DeepMind model page identifies Veo 3.1 and was last updated in October 2025. It is a current family record, not evidence of what was available when Dalton recorded E070.

Claim boundary
Google is the primary source for release dates, named features, access routes, and its own performance claims. Curated launch examples do not establish representative output quality, reliability, rights clearance, production cost, or audience effects.
Dalton's friend's reaction is a preserved anecdote. It cannot establish a general human-detection rate.
The release-era article should name May 20, 2025. Any current product statement should name the reviewed date and Veo 3.1 rather than silently transferring current features back to Veo 3.
Publication identity
The existing route returned HTTP 200 on July 28, 2026:

The visible title was "Veo 3: AI's Visual Revolution & The Return to Text." The revised Episode Story should preserve the slug unless an authorized migration provides a tested redirect.
