E102 Annual Recap Research Note

E102 is a solo annual recap recorded after the topics it revisits. The transcript is authoritative for Dalton Anderson's views and personal experience. It is not authoritative for current technical, environmental, insurance, legal, financial, medical, or psychological facts.

The public recap should preserve the accidental 2026 opening because it creates the editorial reason for current verification. The episode's throughline is that faster systems move the burden of proof rather than eliminating it.

The transcript's synthetic media forecast remains useful as context. Current SynthID documentation corrects the claim that routine cropping necessarily removes its watermark. C2PA provenance is evidence about origin and changes, not proof that a depicted event is true.

Current Google guidance rejects the idea that publishers must choose between people-first content and AI discovery. SEO remains the base. GEO can describe a goal, but Google does not require special AI files, tiny chunks, machine-oriented prose, or special structured data.

The data-center section contains named-location, water, generator, permitting, and health assertions that need project records. The public recap retains the infrastructure concern and routes specifics to a document-centered guide.

The transcript's $200 billion protection-gap number is unsourced. Swiss Re's current dated estimate is $424 billion for global natural catastrophe exposure in 2025. It must not be translated into a household measure.

The Instacart fine claim remains excluded and routes to E099. The Startup School idea framework is attributed to Jared Friedman. The books are referenced briefly without reproducing copyrighted passages.

Dalton's illness and recovery are preserved in the raw transcript. The public recap uses only the level of detail needed to support the reflection. It does not treat illness as a failure of will or the recovery as a universal method.

How to Tell If an Image or Video Is AI-Generated

You usually cannot prove media origin from appearance alone. Trace the source, inspect credentials and watermarks, search earlier copies, and report uncertainty.
