Product identity

Figure identifies F.01 as its first robot generation and says it took its first steps in May 2023. The March 2024 demonstration discussed in E008 connected an external language-and-vision system with Figure's robot controls.

Observed sequence

The robot stood at a table containing an apple, trash, dishes, and a rack. In the selected sequence it responded to spoken requests, handed over the apple, moved trash, placed dishes, and explained parts of its behavior.

The sequence made perception, language, explanation, and physical manipulation visible in one interaction. It did not publish the number of attempts, failure rate, prior setup, model and software configuration, teleoperation boundary, intervention log, speed distribution, safety controls, or performance over a work shift.

Later state

Figure's current company page places F.02 and F.03 after F.01. Current Figure materials center F.03 and Helix 02. The public profile should retain Figure 01 as product history rather than blend later demonstrations into the 2024 prototype.

Publication use

Do not describe the robot as conscious, a person, a consumer product, a household worker, an autonomous general worker, or a current offering. Do not assume that the 2024 OpenAI collaboration describes Figure's current model stack.
