Google DeepMind describes itself as Google's AI research organization, bringing the former DeepMind and Google Brain teams together. Its current about page identifies Demis Hassabis as co-founder and CEO and presents AlphaFold as part of its research history.

The AlphaFold 3 paper lists authors from Google DeepMind and Isomorphic Labs. The May 2024 launch record describes the model as developed by the two organizations. Google DeepMind also operated the launch-era AlphaFold Server route and now provides routes to current AlphaFold tools, database access, and academic model code and weights.

This role record should not become a general corporate history. It exists to identify the organization responsible for research, launch communication, access, and current AlphaFold routes.
