Google DeepMind's current about page describes the organization as Google's combined AI research team, bringing together the former DeepMind and Google Brain groups. It names Demis Hassabis as co-founder and CEO.

The page presents AlphaFold as one part of a wider research history that also includes reinforcement learning, games, weather, algorithms, biology, and models used across Google.

Those identity facts can help a reader navigate the organization. Mission statements and descriptions of impact remain company-authored claims.

The AlphaFold 3 development role

The AlphaFold 3 paper includes authors and affiliations from Google DeepMind and Isomorphic Labs. The model extended structure prediction across complexes that can contain proteins, nucleic acids, small molecules, ions, and modified residues.

Google DeepMind's launch record also identifies joint development with Isomorphic Labs. It summarizes the model, reported benchmark comparisons, AlphaFold Server, and potential research and drug-design uses.
