Contract

The success contract records audience, purpose, desired change, primary outcome, supporting signals, metric definitions, cost boundary, privacy rule, review window, decision owner, and allowed next decisions.

Outcome families

Continuity uses publishing and system evidence. Reach uses platform-specific people or exposure measures. Consumption uses time, completion, or progression. Trust and relationships use qualified behavior and feedback. Learning uses corrections, improved work, and durable knowledge. Revenue uses attributable income and cost.

Outputs such as episodes, clips, transcripts, and articles are not automatically outcomes.

Metric boundary

Every metric carries platform, exact definition, window, export date, denominator, exclusions, and source. Definition changes create a version boundary.

Only one outcome should own a review. Supporting signals explain it.

Cost and decision

The review includes production time, spend, opportunity cost, stress, privacy exposure, guest burden, platform dependence, and maintenance.

The decision is continue, revise, increase, reduce, pause, stop, or investigate. A success definition without a decision path is descriptive rather than operational.
