Meta Platforms Entity and Product Map

Meta Platforms, Inc. is the public company behind the product families relevant to E013. Its official reporting separates the Family of Apps and Reality Labs segments.

Meta’s full-year 2025 results identify Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and other services within Family of Apps. Reality Labs includes virtual and augmented reality consumer hardware, software, and content.

That segment view is useful but too broad for product evidence. Llama is a model family. Meta AI is an assistant product. Meta Horizon OS is a mixed-reality operating system and developer platform. Quest is a headset line. Meta’s AI glasses involve device partnerships and companion software. Each has its own release history, terms, data path, support surface, and evidence owner.

The company profile should route readers to the precise product record rather than repeat every current feature. Company announcements are primary evidence for what Meta says it released, planned, measured, or believed. They are not independent proof of performance, safety, adoption, or legal compliance.

E013 joins two ecosystem moves from April 2024. Llama 3 broadened access to model weights and tools under Meta’s license. Meta Horizon OS broadened a platform to named hardware partners. Both invited participation while preserving material dependencies on Meta.

The durable company-level observation is about distribution and control, not inevitable dominance. A company can widen an ecosystem and still retain authority through licenses, accounts, identity, stores, policies, infrastructure, and product integration.
