Ray-Ban Meta to Meta AI Glasses Product Record

Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses launched in October 2023 with camera, open-ear audio, voice control, livestreaming, and a $299 starting price. Meta AI beta and early multimodal testing followed under account and region limits.

By April 2024, Meta described Meta AI availability on the glasses in the United States. Later generations, software, regions, styles, and models changed the product surface.

Meta's July 2026 glasses FAQ says a capture LED blinks during gallery photo or video capture and that second-generation glasses disable the camera when LED blocking is detected. Those are vendor-described controls. They do not resolve every capture state, notice, comprehension, consent, retention, security, or bystander expectation.

In June 2026 Meta and EssilorLuxottica introduced a broader Meta Glasses line powered by Muse Spark at launch in supported markets. Current Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, Meta Ray-Ban Display, and Meta Glasses products should not be collapsed into the 2023 device.

The public record must preserve product generation, region, software, account, model, and date.
