E074 records Dalton debating whether late episodes could restore a weekly streak that illness had already interrupted. The public essay needs to distinguish an archival fact, an audience promise, a production backlog, and the creator's identity.

What the record establishes

In the E074 transcript, Dalton says that two and a half weeks away from work stopped podcast production. He acknowledges that the streak was technically broken, then considers recording the missed episodes and releasing twice a week until the backlog disappears.

The existing E074 public route displays July 22, 2025. The preserved Spotify episode anchors the episode identity.

Venture Step also has a longer history of interruption and return. Rekindling the Venture documents a return after a much longer pause. Level Up in 2025 describes a preference for steady output over unsustainable bursts.

Together, those records support a personal operating lesson. They do not establish how every audience responds or how every platform treats dates.

Four separate records

Backdating an episode may make a calendar look continuous while making the record less trustworthy. Flooding a feed to erase guilt can reduce quality and recreate the conditions for another break.

Continuity model

Continuity means that source material survives, backlog state is known, dates remain honest, the next release is chosen, and the production system can resume at a pace it can sustain.

The planned Field Note, "A streak measures uninterrupted output; continuity measures whether the work can resume," should be absorbed into the full essay. A separate short page would compete with the canonical argument.
