"Slop" is a quality judgment. A synthetic feed can contain beautiful, funny, useful, boring, deceptive, stolen, or incoherent work. The product change is that recommendation, generation, and remixing can operate inside one loop.

A creator feed waits for someone to make the next thing
A conventional short-video feed already contains automation. Algorithms rank posts, creators use editing tools, and one clip can be copied into thousands of variations.
Generative media changes the cost and speed of variation. A person can prompt a new clip, transform source media, or remix an existing generated video without filming a new scene. The feed supplies material for creation, and creation supplies the feed.

The loop is not literally infinite. Compute, access, user effort, model limits, moderation, rights, policy, distribution, and attention still constrain it. "Near-unlimited" describes the supply difference relative to media that must be separately recorded and edited.
Generation and recommendation can optimize each other
A feed traditionally chooses among available posts. A synthetic feed can eventually shape the available posts as well.
The system can observe what holds attention, recommend more of it, make related variants cheaper to produce, and provide those variants as remix material. The boundary between ranking demand and manufacturing supply becomes less clear.

Remixing complicates authorship
In a generated remix, "Who made this?" can have several answers.
One person supplied source footage. Another wrote a prompt. A model produced frames and audio. A third person remixed the result. A platform distributed it. Music, likenesses, characters, or styles may carry separate histories and rights.
The visible account is only one part of that chain.

Labels help only when they remain visible and meaningful
A feed dedicated to AI video gives the viewer some category context. The problem returns when a clip is downloaded, cross-posted, cropped, or placed beside ordinary media elsewhere.

A useful feed should preserve the generation and remix chain through sharing, make labels easy to inspect, and give creators a way to correct attribution.
Moderation moves upstream and downstream
Generated content creates risks at the prompt, source asset, model output, edit, caption, account, recommendation, and remix stages.
Blocking one output does not prevent a near-duplicate. Removing one post may leave its remixes. A safe source image can become a harmful transformation. A harmless fictional clip can be presented later as evidence of a real event.
Moderation therefore needs lineage and propagation controls, not only post-by-post review.
Quality is not the only concern
Calling the feed slop can hide the more important questions.
Can a viewer tell why an item was recommended? Can they reduce generated recommendations? Is the original source visible? Does a remix preserve attribution? Are prompts, source uploads, and drafts treated as private or public data? Can a rights holder report the entire remix chain? Does the feed reward meaningful creation or only continued viewing?
A high-quality generated clip can still have poor provenance. A silly clip can be harmless and genuinely creative. A repetitive feed can be exhausting even when each item is technically impressive.
The real test is the user's job
A creation feed should help someone make, revise, understand, or share something they value. A discovery feed should help someone find work worth their attention.
If generation mainly removes the moment when the feed would otherwise run out, the product is optimizing continuity more clearly than creativity.
