Productivity Method Compatibility Map

Decision jobs

GTD can supply capture, clarification, organization, reflection, and engagement. An Eisenhower matrix can support one priority conversation. Time blocking places a commitment on a calendar. Timeboxing limits effort or exploration. Pomodoro supplies a focus and break cadence. Eat the Frog supplies a first-task rule. Day theming groups related work across a day.

Combination rule

Keep at most one primary rule for each decision job. If two methods decide priority, schedule the day, or review the same backlog, choose the simpler one.

Use conditions

Write when each method applies and when it does not. A timer may help start a resisted task but interrupt work that already has momentum. Day theming may help a role with control over meetings and fail in frontline or reactive work.

Measurement

Track maintenance time, duplicate decisions, stale metadata, missed commitments, and meaningful completion. Remove any ritual that costs more attention than it protects.

Evidence boundary

Canonical method sources establish their own definitions. They do not prove universal productivity, wellbeing, or fit. Dalton's hybrid is a dated personal adaptation, not formal compliance with any branded method.
